I highly recommend booking a tour with Aki-san if you are visiting Naha!

We booked a customized tour for our group of 6, and it was so easy to coordinate with Aki via WhatsApp before our tour. He even helped us resolve an issue with our booking platform.

Not only is Aki friendly and knowledgable about Okinawa's history and culture, he is truly a foodie! Our tour skipped over the touristy spots, and we got to eat Okinawan and traditional Ryukyu food at shops run by locals. He even gave us restaurant recommendations for the rest of our trip.

We enjoyed our tour so much. Ake was a great guide. We tasted so many different things and went to places we would never have found without him. He is highly recommended as well.!

Aki is a very knowledgeable tour guide and offered an excellent variety of stops. We were able to taste many authentic Okinawan offerings, including cane juice, sata andagi, peanut tofu, fruit, Okinawan soba, musubi, and muchi. He took us to back side cafes that you would generally be able to find, unless you knew about it. All stops were great, and a lot of tastings. Speaks very good English.

Great tour, local spots, delicious food!
Very nice and knowledgeable guide (Aki) with good connections to the locals who showed
us hidden gems which we would have never discovered without him. It was absolutely
worth it. Food culture in Okinawa is so different from the rest of Japan!

Highly recommended introduction to Naha and local food.
This was a great tour and I recommend people take it as close to the beginning of their trip as they can. Aki was a great guide and it ended up being just us as the other guest was a no shows. We had a very enjoyable wander through the markets where he had me try some great local food and drink I would never have had otherwise. We finished in the pottery st where there were great place to take a look and with a hearty bowl of Okinawa Noodles. Well worth it.

Good starting point for exploring Naha city
This tour is a good start to explore Naha. Aki showed us food spots we wouldnt've found ourselves. I think it's a good idea to book this tour early on your trip so you can ask Aki about recommendations for food or places worth visiting on the island. Aki also tells you a little about the culture and history of the island which is a nice addition.

Overall we had a very good time.

A must book for foodies! Aki was a great, friendly, and knowledgeable guide, explaining everything about Okinawa's food culture. I loved all the shops he took us to as they were places I would never have found on my own. The food was SO GOOD and if I'm back in Okinawa again I will definitely join the tour again.

Amazing hidden spots and a highlight of our Naha trip!
This was such a nice way for us to explore Naha in more depth - I genuinely think this was the highlight of our short trip to the city, as we got to try all the classics of Okinawan cuisine and also spots around the city that we would have not found ourselves. Personally the atmosphere at the last stop was my personal highlight as it was a cozy little cafe hidden away in a backstreet - very local. Aki was an amazing guide and super knowledgeable about Okinawa and its cuisine. I think this is ideal for anyone looking for an introduction to Okinawa cuisine and or a deep dive if you've already had some dishes here and there during your trip prior to the tour.

Aki was great! He showed us around and we sampled many Okinawan original things. My

Locals in local eateries
Awesome time. Went to local spots and even hanged out with locals at an izakya. They were
telling stories and even broke out the guitar and the shashin. It was amazing. First night
might be the best night here in naha. Aki was a truly awesome guide

Aki took me to places I would never have found or entered on my own. We ate and drank local gems which likely can’t be found anywhere else in the world. His English is very good and his knowledge of the food culture of Okinawa is vast. I will be booking another tour with him in the very near future.

Aki is an amazing guide

Had an excellent time on the food tour with Aki. He speaks fluent English and takes you to some great little spots you would otherwise walk right by. He was prompt, attentive, and you can tell the shopkeepers enjoy working with him. Would highly recommend this tour to start your day. No need for a meal after, you get plenty of tasty treats.

Nice tour
Aki was great to have a tour with he showed me the Japanese side of the famous Kokusai street, made me taste treats and he adapt to my dietary restrictions so if you didn’t want to do this tour due to dietary restrictions please don’t let this restrained you as he found tasty treats that were gluten free for me. It’s a nice tour that give you insight about Okinawa with a tour of the fish market and he gives you tips as well to were to eat afterwards. I highly recommend this tour

Informative, fun, and relaxed snacking tour from Kokusai Dori to Tsuboya Pottery Street.

The relaxed walking tour meandered from shopping streets to the Makishi Market and finally trendy Tsuboya Pottery Street. The tour guide Aki provided information on the foods I tasted as well as history of the area and also made several dining recommendations. The foods were excellent and varied and I plan to take his tavern hopping tour the next time I'm in Naha, Okinawa.
